Settlement near in price-fixing lawsuit

The settlement, which is not final, was announced Thursday during a hearing at federal court in Newark, where a number of related lawsuits from around the country have been consolidated, said Dallas-based attorney Warren T. Burns, who represents consumers and was involved in hashing out the agreement. The settlement has yet to be approved by the court, and the dollar amount was not disclosed.
