Claire joined Burns Charest in 2021 after graduating from Tulane University Law School, where she served as Senior Articles Editor for Tulane’s Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property and completed externships with the Honorable Jane Triche Milazzo and the Honorable Susie Morgan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Claire has represented plaintiffs in complex class actions, consolidated actions and multi-district litigation in a variety of practice areas, including antitrust, data privacy, RICO, products liability, intellectual property, pharmaceutical injury and mass tort cases. While at Burns Charest, Claire has gained substantive, hands-on complex litigation experience including drafting pleadings, motion practice, oral argument, drafting and responding to discovery, deposition defense, trial preparation and trial experience. Claire amassed the bulk of her trial experience as an active member of the trial teams for Florida Health Sciences Center, Inc., et al., v. CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, Case No. CACE 19-018882 (Broward Cty. Ct.); In re: Epipen Marketing, Sales Practices and Antitrust Litigation, MDL No: 2785 (D. Kan.) and In re: Refinery Worker Toxic Tort Litigation, Master Docket No. SX-15-CV-096 (U.S.V.I. Sup. Ct.). In recognition of her work representing hospitals in the opioids litigation, the Chief Legal Officer of Health First hospital system commended Claire as "one of the most talented young lawyers I have encountered," exemplifying "professionalism at its best."
Before pursuing her law degree, Claire earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis in manufacturing. Claire's technical degree enabled her to sit for the USPTO patent exam during law school and gain admission to practice before the USPTO as a licensed patent attorney. Claire's ability to distill complicated technologies into simplified concepts both judges and juries can understand makes her a valuable asset to any litigation team.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, Brandon, and golden retriever, Tilly.
